The Hunter Beer Co. was established at Potters Hotel & Brewery in 2003 by the Colissmo family.

Originally the brewery contract brewed a range of St Arnou products, but went on to establish it own range of beers under the auspices of Head Brewer Luke Scott.

The first Hunter beer produced was our flagship beer, the Hunter Kolsch, a golden German Ale. This was quickly followed by a European style Lager and a Bock.

In 2006 a building was constructed to house the brewery and allow visitors better access to the Brewery.

Keith Grice was appointed Head Brewer in late 2007.

In September of 2008 Hunter Beer Co. and Potters Hotel & Brewery were sold to Hamish and Prue Ord.

Hunter Beer Co. currently produces seven beers available on tap and in bottle all year round and additionally has an ever changing array of seasonal beers.
